Does your jaw produce clicking or popping? Do you have pain when opening and closing your mouth? Do you have difficulty chewing? Does the TMJ dislocate? We assess symptoms and identify the primary structures involved and then design a plan to restore jaw function.
Do you experience dizziness or headaches? We assess the neck and shoulders for pain and mobility and perform a neurological exam to screen for vestibular dysfunction and Cervicogenic headache.
Muscles of the shoulder girdle attach to the vertebra of the neck and may be influenced by poor postural alignment, over-use or injury and may be involved in the perpetuation of pain signals.
Cervical alignment and postural correction can abolish jaw pain, eliminate headaches and restore functional movement.
We take a health history and screen for bruxing and grinding, We assess symptoms and identify the primary structures involved and then design a plan to restore jaw function.
Forward head posture can lead to shoulder pain, back pain and can cause the alignment of the jaw to be altered which in turn strain muscles in the temple area resulting in headache, neck pain and referred facial pain.
